The Hardship fund of the Metropolitan Club Foundation was established to offer limited assistance to club management professionals, their families and "long tenured employees" and their families, Allied Assoctiation or Vendors facing catastrophic and devastating situations due to illness, disaster or death of a family member.
The Hardship Fund was established in 2004 as a result of the death of club manager, Michael Loper CCM; as a means to collect funds into a segregated, dedicated account and distribute these funds to those who have demonstrated a need for financial assistance from MCF.
The Hardship Fund is financed primarily from the proceeds of the Celebration of Life Golf Tournament, while receiving some funding from the annual Vendor Show, a percentage of interest income from MCF's Endowment Fund and private contributions.
